The Rights and Responsibilities Info Films (R&R) Program was originally conceptualized by H&M, s.Oliver, Carrefour, Walmart, Tesco and Solidaridad and Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI). Centre for Responsible Business (CRB) is an implementing organization of this Program. The primary focus of this Program is to address low awareness and associated issues pertaining to garment factory workers and their Rights and Responsibilities.
The whole idea of this Program is to build a conscious and responsible work force that can contribute to the creation of a harmonious workplace which finally leads to a sustainable business growth. Establishing effective communication channels with workers in factories is one of the key factors in enabling a productive and efficient workplace.
This Program shows five short films focusing on key worker centric issues namely Health and Safety, Misconduct, Good Working Environment, Overtime, Worker Representation, which acts as the primary training tool. It further supplements the necessary reading and communication supporting material (in the form of a training manual and posters) and implementation support (virtual and in person) to equip and enable suppliers to effectively use these films to train factory workers, thereby driving increased awareness on worker rights and responsibilities.
